The Certified IT Manager (CITM) framework The IT manager framework is designed for ambitious IT professionals that wish to excel to the level of senior IT management.

The EPI certified IT managers' course (CITM) exposes candidates to the fundamental aspect of IT management in mission critical environments and for those who wish to further specialize, the prestigious CITD (Certified IT Director) is an accreditation level for professionals who are interested in further advancing their career in IT management.
How to obtain CITD? Individuals with the ambition to obtain the CITD accreditation will have to follow CITM and on top of it demonstrate that they have gained additional knowledge in different areas corresponding with the topics as discussed.
The individual will obtain credits for every subject matter and if sufficient credits are achieved the candidate can register for CITD accreditation receiving the certificate upon approval. During registration the individual is required to submit evidence demonstrating to have successfully followed courses and/or achieved certification where applicable.

Which certificates are endorsed for CITD? For every subject matter area courses and/or certificates are endorsed. The list is not limited to these courses, additional courses that apply will be considered on individual basis, depending on the evidence submitted:

Certifications / courses will be reviewed on a yearly basis and from time to time new courses / certifications may be added if representative for the CITD accreditation level.
All to be submitted evidence must demonstrate validity; expired certificates will not be accepted.

How many credits are required to apply for the CITD accreditation?
CITM is required and will gain the individual 3 credits. For every certificate submitted and accredited for CITD, additional credits per certificate will be awarded, depending on the course. For every course attendance submitted and accredited for CITD, additional credits per course will be awarded, depending on the course.
Individuals that wish to apply for the CITD accreditation must have at least:
- - obtained 16 credits, and
- - attending course or achieved certification in at least 7 domains(*), and
- - certified in at least 4 different domains(*)
(*) Certain higher education programs contain multiple domains. Submission of such certification will be evaluated on a per case basis.

How long is the CITD accreditation valid?
The CITD accreditation is valid for 4 years for after which the individual needs to resubmit if he/she wishes to retain their accreditation level. Re-submitting of evidence is a requirement.
What are the fees involved for the CITD accreditation?
Individuals successfully having submitted evidence for the CITD accreditation will have to pay an endorsement fee of 500 USD for 4 years accreditation.

How to apply for CITD?
Individuals that wish to apply for CITD need to download the CITD application form and complete all the necessary details and submit the form including a copy of all related courses and certificates obtained. Individuals will receive the result a maximum four weeks from the date of submission.

How to submit documents for the application?
Documents can be submitted electronically via email or post mail.

Review of application The certification board will review the completeness of the proof submitted. Should the documentation be incomplete then an e-mail will be send to the individual whom then has to submit the required additional documents within 10 working days.
After review of all submitted proof by the certification board, an email will be send to the individual indicating whether sufficient evidence is collected.

How to make payment?
After receiving notification of approval for the certification, a payment needs to be made. The endorsement fee of 500 USD is for four years accreditation.

Issue of certificate / accreditation After receipt of the certification fees a certificate will be issued and send to the candidate with the expiry date to the address indicated on the certification submission form. After receipt of the certificate the candidate can verify all registered information by sending an email to verify@epi-certification.com
