Costa Rica (14-Oct-2019) – EPI awarded CODISA Data Center Costa Rica the DCOS (Data Centre Operations Standard) conformity certification for maturity level-5 - which means that all the data centre processes are optimized and fully integrated.  This is a twofold major accomplishment, firstly achieving DCOS Maturity Level 5 (the highest level of DCOS) and second, being the first DCOS certification maturity level-5 achievement in the world.

“Although Codisa had previously been awarded with other certifications, we decided to apply for the DCOS from EPI for four reasons,” said Mr. Diego Cardoza, General Manager, Codisa Data Center. “Firstly, the DCOS is covering all the process domains in a data centre, some of which are not (fully) part of other standards. Secondly, DCOS gives us the ability to do progressive improvement because the DCOS maturity levels (1-5) is benchmarked on the well-known ISO continuous improvement cycle. Thirdly, DCOS is aligned with ISO, hence we did not have to adjust or recreate processes since we already have a number of ISO certificates. And the fourth reason, DCOS is an addition to improve other areas not covered by our ISO certificates.”
