Whether you are building or operating a data center, certification is highly recommended. It is often a regulatory requirement in many countries and clients often require certification as evidence of operators following best practices with design, construction and operations.

Data Center Design and Facility

For new data centers or an existing one, validation ensures that the data center facility has been built according to the applicable standards and international best practices. Regrettably, some contractors and suppliers might be guilty of negligence or honest mistakes in terms of quality and conformity. This could be due to economic pressure, time constraints, lack of qualifications, insufficient understanding of the standards, lack of attention to detail or, in extreme cases, poor workmanship. We provide conformity audits and certification services based on globally recognised data center facility standards like the ANSI/TIA-924, ISO/IEC 22237 and EN 50600.

Data Center Operations

Besides building highly resilient facilities with redundancy at various levels, many data center owners/operators have come to realise that without having adequate processes and maintenance programs, the availability levels would be seriously impacted and erode the investment made in the data center facility. EPI provides the DCOS® (Data Center Operations Standard) audit and certification services. The DCOS® audit will benchmark the data center governance, operations and maintenance based on all, or a subset, of the 11 complete disciplines for a fully managed mission critical facility.

Certification Body (CB)

EPI is a registered CB which ensures both the impartiality of our services and the validation of EPI’s competence. As a registered CB, we adhere to strict procedures when conducting audits and certifications. We are subject to review by governing bodies ensuring the services we deliver are fully objective, follow due process and impartial.
