What is ISO 14644 ?

ISO 14644 is the standard for cleanrooms and associated controlled environments such as data centres which provides the classification of air cleanliness by particle concentration in the 0,1 µm to 5 µm range.

This standard is applied to data centres to ensure that ICT equipment is operating under appropriate air quality levels to ensure continuous operation for mission critical applications. Measurement is performed with specialised equipment and according to stringent procedures as outlined in the standard.
