Staff Performance Management

Staff performance management is the process to establish and communicate what a shared workforce must achieve at an organizational level. It aligns the organization’s objectives with the following:

1) Performance objectives agreed with staff.
2) Skills.
3) Competency requirements.
4) Development plans.
5) Delivery of results.

The emphasis is on improvement, learning and development in order to achieve the overall business strategy and to create a high-performance workforce.

The organization should therefore ensure that:

1) All staff are aware of the overall yearly goals and strategy of the organization.
2) All staff in each department are aware of the yearly goals and strategy for the department.
3) Each department should set KPOs (Key Performance Objectives) which are aligned with the overall organizational goals and strategy.
4) Each staff have received individual KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) which are aligned with the KPOs.
5) Documented monitoring, evaluation, and guidance mechanisms are in place to trend progress.
