House rules

House rules should be established for all restricted areas of the data center so that it promotes a clean, safe and secure environment. These house rules should describe desired behavior (maintain general cleanliness, e.g. no smoking, no food/drinks, no unpacking inside the computer room, no storing of boxes/paper/packing/spares etc. in the computer room) as well as procedures.

House rules for restricted areas should be present at the main door of each restricted area (e.g. signage ‘no smoking’, ‘no cameras’).
