Summary statement	Manages and maintains the data centre property on behalf of, and to the satisfaction of, the owner and the tenant taking into account all aspects including safety.
Mission/general skills description	Oversee employee and visitor safety, building maintenance, repair and upgrades, and comply with environmental, safety and health procedures. Manage the accounts and finances of the real estate properties, and participate in or initiate litigation with tenants, contractors and insurance agencies. Litigation is at times considered a separate function, set aside for trained attorneys.

Main task/s	Maintain relationship with contractors and repair companies Monitor the quality of all building repairs and -maintenance Operating expenses and budgeting Physical management of the structures and outdoor areas (e.g. roofs, walls, plumbing landscaping, etc.) Manage Compliance and Regulatory Risks Control linkage between overall data centre facility performance and real estate performance Ensure a safe, secure and healthy building, fire safety Provide occupants with updates of electrical, water and other service outages and scheduled shutdowns Develop and implement facility emergency plans (risk management) Environmentally responsible and energy efficient building management
